Release and Waiver Liability Agreement


I acknowledge that my child or ward has voluntarily agreed to participate in the Lake McMurtry Outdoor Adventure Camp event held on June 2nd, 2025, through June 27th, 2025, and July 7th, 2025, through July 18th, 2025, with my permission. I understand the scope of the Lake McMurtry Adventure Camp and specifically acknowledge that the Adventure Camp carries with it inherent risks of physical injury, which risks are accepted and assumed by participation in the event. I represent that my child or ward is in good health and in proper physical condition to participate in the event. I hereby, for myself, my heirs, executors, administrators, and any participant for whom I am a parent or legal guardian (the “Releasing Parties”), release, discharge, hold harmless and forever acquit Lake McMurtry Friends, Inc., the State, the County, the City, and/or other local sponsors, together with any other persons or entities involved with organizing, sponsoring, promoting and/or operating the event (the “Released Parties”), and the officers, directors, managers, members, owners, agents, representatives and employees of the Released Parties, from any and all actions, causes of action, claims or any liabilities whatsoever, known or unknown now existing or which may arise in the future, on account of or in any way related to or arising out of participation in this event, including without implied limitation those relating to personal injury, death, and/or property damage. I, on behalf of the Releasing Parties, take full responsibility for any and all damages, liabilities, losses, and/or expenses that the Releasing Parties may incur as a result of attending and/or participating in the event, and hereby covenant not to sue the Released Parties. I assume all liability for myself and of any non-participants who accompany me. I agree that, if despite this release and waiver, any of the Releasing Parties makes a claim against any of the Released Parties, I will indemnify and hold harmless any such Released Parties from any litigation expenses, attorneys’ fees, loss, liability, damage or any cost that may occur as a result of any such claim(s). I acknowledge that without this document, the participant would not be permitted to participate in the Lake McMurtry Adventure Camp event.

Media Release

I irrevocably grant permission to Lake McMurtry Friends,
Inc. and their respective officers, directors, managers, members, owners, agents, representatives and employees (the
“Released Parties”) to use photographs and/or video and audio taken of my child or ward. These images may be used in educational, documentary, business, and/or marketing materials such as brochures, presentations, news articles, websites,social media, and other media sources. Furthermore, I authorize the use of my child’s or ward’s image, likeness, and voice for all program promotion, materials, and any other purposes in connection with the program.I, for myself, my heirs, executors, administrators, and any participant for whom I am a parent or legal guardian hereby agree to release, defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the Released Parties, including any firm publishing and/or distributing thefinished product in whole or in part, whether on paper, via electronic media, on websites, or otherwise, from any claim,damages, or liability (as well as any litigation expenses and attorneys’ fees) arising from or related to the use of the photographs/video/audio, including but not limited to any misuse, distortion, blurring, alteration, optical illusion, or use in composite form, either intentionally or otherwise, that may occur or be produced in taking, processing, reduction, or production of the finished product, its publication or distribution, or use in any manner. I acknowledge that without this
document, the participant would not be permitted to participate in the Lake McMurtry Outdoor Adventure Camp.
